About the society

Established in May 1979, The Norway-Japan Society (NJS) is a cultural friendship organisation based in Tokyo. The aim is to promote friendly relations and mutual understanding and also create meeting opportunities for people that are interested in Norwegian and Japanese cross cultural society.

The Society organizes it’s own main events and sometimes co-organize events with others in addition to promote a number of cultural event’s and concerts throughout the year. NJS is registered as an NPO in Tokyo and is driven on volunteer basis.
