The Norway-Japan Society is again very pleased to offer its support to the Norway Friendship Yacht Race. In collaboration with Enoshima Yacht Club, it is our outmost pleasure to extend an invitation to our members for the Norway Friendship Yacht Race on Sunday, April 24th.
NJS members are invited to the Enoshima Yacht Club (EYC) to watch the race aboard the Club’s sailing boats. This year the Sustainable Ocean Fest 2022 will take place at Enoshima during April 22nd to April 24th and important and timely topics of sustainability and ocean health is a recurring topic throughout the weekend.
Schedule on April 24th (Sunday):
NJS Members meet at Odakyu Katase-Enoshima station at 08:30 walk in a group over the bridge to Enoshima and the Enoshima Yacht Club where we will register and be assigned to sailing boats.
08:35: Depart from Odakyu Katase-Enoshima station
09:00: Arrive at the EYC building and gather at the registration office
-Register and divide into several smaller groups
-Meet the captain of the assigned boat
-Go to the assigned boat
09:00-09:30: Boats leave the harbor for race area
11:30 – 13:00: Boats return to EYC (all boats have toilets)
After return: Free time to explore the wonderful Enoshima island
Please note:
-we recommend that you dress accordingly for weather conditions and bring a wind breaker jacket.
-please feel free to bring water/drinks/snacks to the yacht.
-please bring extra socks as depending on the boat, you might have to take off your shoes.

It takes 20-25 min to walk from Katase-Enoshima Station to EYC.
日本－ノルウェー協会は、今年もノルウェーフレンドシップヨットレース大会を支援します。江の島ヨットクラブとの連携で会員の皆様をご招待できることを大変嬉しく思います。今年は４月22～24日にかけて「Sustainable Ocean Fest」も開催され、持続可能性と海の健康という重要なトピックが取り上げられる週となります。
４月２４日(日)のスケジュール：
8:30に小田急片瀬江ノ島駅へ集合します。橋を渡って江の島ヨットクラブに向かい、そこで受付・ボートの割り当てを行います。
08:35: 小田急片瀬江ノ島駅前を出発。
09:00: 江の島ヨットハーバーに到着、受付に集合
--登録後、小グループに分かれます
-指定艇の船長に合う
-指定されたボートへ
09:00-09:30: レースエリアへ出発
11:30 – 13:00: 江の島ヨットハーバーへ戻る（全艇にトイレ有）
帰着後：江の島を散策する自由時間となります。
注意点:
-ウィンドブレーカージャケット等、天候に応じた服装をお勧めします。
-水・飲み物・軽食はご自由にお持ちください。
-船によっては靴を脱がなければならない場合がありますので、靴下を多めにご用意ください。
